Client Overview

CellSure is a long‑established player in the mobile insurance space, with over 20 years of experience providing device cover to the general public through strategic partnerships with mobile network operators.

At the time of this project, CellSure was preparing to pitch new innovations and value‑added services to key partners, including Cell C and MTN. While the business was well‑established, the challenge lay in clearly articulating how their latest offerings would enhance the customer experience and deliver tangible value to their partners.

The Challenge

CellSure needed to present a set of new innovations, including a sales hook and an automated online claims experience, in a way that was easy to understand, engaging, and suitable for a high‑stakes partner pitch.

The information itself was sound, but the team struggled to translate it into a narrative that would resonate in a boardroom setting. With contracts up for renewal, the pressure was on.

Capturing stakeholder attention in a pitch environment

Delivering the solution under an exceptionally tight seven‑day timeline

Success, for CellSure, meant walking away with renewed partner confidence and contract continuation.

Our Approach

We approached this project as a true end‑to‑end creative partnership, working closely with the CellSure team, we immersed ourselves quickly in their offering to fully understand the innovations, the commercial value behind them, and what would matter most to their partners. With time as a critical constraint, collaboration was key. We integrated seamlessly into the CellSure team, co‑creating content, validating key messages in real time, and maintaining constant alignment throughout the process.

We crafted a concise, impactful script designed specifically for 2D animation, ensuring it was informative without being overwhelming and clear enough to land in a live pitch environment. From there, we prioritised visual storytelling that brought the customer journey to life, showing not just what the innovation was, but why it mattered.

To meet the deadline, multiple components were developed in parallel, with artwork creation, animation and voiceover progressing simultaneously, without compromising on quality or brand alignment.

The Solution

The final outcome was a punchy, informative 2D animated pitch explainer video that clearly communicated CellSure’s proposal. The video combined a tightly written narrative, custom 2D animation aligned to CellSure’s brand and Voiceover to guide stakeholders through the value proposition.

The explainer visualised real‑world scenarios, helping partners quickly grasp how the innovations would benefit customers while strengthening their own offering. Despite the compressed timeline, the end result felt polished, confident and reflective of CellSure’s reputation and quality.

The Impact

The pitch achieved its intended outcome, with both Cell C and MTN renewing their partnerships with CellSure following the presentation. Internally, the CellSure team expressed increased confidence going into the pitch, knowing their message was clear, complete and compelling.

The video not only supported the immediate pitch but also reinforced CellSure’s position as an innovative, forward‑thinking partner in the mobile insurance space.
